ALLIED INTEGRATED SERVICES : AVOIDING DOWN TIME
TO AVOID UNPLANNED EXPENSES AND LOSE PRODUCTIVITY DO NOT:
Forget to clean your printhead after each ribbon change or direct thermal label change
Use poor quality thermal label stock; the labels may ooze adhesive and build up on sensitive printhead components.
Use poor quality or too narrow ribbon stock. This causes elements in the print head to fail prematurely.
Use foreign or metallic objects of any kind on or near the printhead; these items can cause scratching and severe damage resulting in immediate failure of the printhead.
Attempt any repairs if you are unfamiliar with the printer’s mechanics.
Print heads and main logic boards are easily damaged and expensive to replace.
