TO SAVE MONEY AND
IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY DO THE FOLLOWING:
- Clean your print head after each roll of
ribbon (or each roll of direct thermal labels)
using manufacturer recommended cleaning kit.
DO NOT skip this important step.
- Use the lowest setting possible for acceptable
print quality: this will conserve energy and
prolong printhead life.
- Print at the lowest speed possible. Increasing
the speed increases the abrasiveness on the
print head.
- Prevent static discharge by grounding yourself
before touching the printhead.
- Silicon coatings reduce printhead wear. Use
premium quality ribbons.
- Protect the printhead elements from abrasion
by using a slightly wider ribbon then label
stock
- Routine preventative maintenance and quality
service is always cheaper than no revenue from
broken equipment.
